​The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published the ninth annual issue of Istishraf. The issue includes the following studies: "AI Futures and Underrepresented Cultures" by Baraa Ali Deeb, Omar Almagharebi, and Fadi A. Zaraket; "Artificial Intelligence vs. Human Intelligence" by Tahani Al-Khatib; "The Future of Migration Governance in Light of the Development of Artificial Intelligence Systems" by Mouna Dalouh; "Does the Digitization Process Produce a New Type of Human Rights?" by Mohamed Arhal; "Futures of AI-Powered Human Rights Governance" by the Editorial Board; and "Military Uses of Artificial Intelligence" by Sherif Shaaban Mabrouk. 

The issue also includes a translated study titled "The Future of Work of Academics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" by Maarten Renkema and Aizhan Tursunbayeva. The issue features three book reviews: Accelerated Technological Transformations and Comprehensive Surveillance by the Editorial Board; Human Rights, Robot Wrongs: Being Human in the Age of AI by Ahmed Qasem Hussein; and ChatGPT and the Future of Artificial Intelligence by Noor Alshaibani.

The issue concludes with the "Future Issues" section, which contains studies and articles outside the issue's main theme that are of interest to the field of future studies. It includes the study "Characteristics and Techniques of Future Studies Most Appropriate for the Waqf Sector" by Sami Al Salahat, and an introduction to the ACRPS Unit for Research in Arab Digital Social Spaces. The section also includes a number of translations and presentations of the most prominent recent publications in the field of future studies.
