Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing an increasing role in planning and support-ing military operations and has become a key tool in all defence and deterrence operations. AI technology also has many applications in modern weaponry such as autonomous systems and vehicles. The use of AI is expected to have a greater impact on military jobs in the future, especially in terms of human-machine in-teraction (machine learning, human-machine collaboration). This paper provides an overview of the possibilities of applying AI in military matters. It highlights where it is used in this vital sector, especially in the quality and performance of operations that focus on key areas such as situational awareness, decision sup-port, as well as logistical and operational planning, in addition to modeling and simulation.
