The study explores the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems use in migration management, which have become crucial in today’s world. It assesses the challenges associated with AI that promise to develop the governance of the sector, as well as threaten to undermine it. For example, AI risks violating the right to respect for privacy and data protection, the right to confidentiality, the right to non-discrimination, the right to movement, and many principles of inter-national human rights law related to migration. The paper presents the develop-ment of international legislation related to the regulation of this field, highlight-ing some of the leading international experiences in it, especially that of the Eu-ropean Union, anticipates the future of AI systems used in migration, and sets scenarios for these futures.
