A systematic review of recent publications written about climate change in the Arab World presents a comprehensive analysis regarding the approaches taken by authors around the world to the subject. The review focuses on publications written over the last five years (20192023-), and written in Arabic, English, Spanish, and French. The objective of this research is to provide a thorough understanding of the prevailing approaches and emerging trends in the field, while specifically addressing the complexities associated with climate change in the Arab World. Given the region's distinct geopolitical and socioeconomic context, climate change poses a clear, yet unique threat to the region that requires tailored solutions. As such, a rigorous critical evaluation of previous studies is essential to fully understanding the approaches taken by both Arab and non-Arab authors researching climate change in Arab League countries. Moreover, this review aims to investigate the potential of taking an interdisciplinary approach to the study of climate change in the region to further understand the impacts of a more holistic methodology.
