History of science is an excellent lever for the diffusion of scientific culture in education, culture and in the media. The intensification of its presence in teaching programs in higher education would have a decisive impact in highlighting the historical dimension of scientific knowledge in the advancement of Arab sciences in the future. We devote the present article to analyze the contents of the discipline, its multifaceted role and its various advantages, and the conditions of possibility that helped it to develop. With the aim of strengthening contemporary Arab culture with the culture of science, we conclude by emphasizing the crucial need to resume research in the tradition of Arabic classical science, as a gateway to the advancement of science production in Arabic in the future.
